Wildlife, Fisheries & Ecology Management

This year-long course will explore wildlife, fisheries, and natural resources through the lens of a wildlife manager. Students will learn about different ecosystems and ecological processes as they relate to management of natural resources. 

As the course progresses, there will be opportunities for students to work together to apply their knowledge through labs and other hands-on activities. Students will also learn techniques to identify native fish and wildlife and their corresponding habitats. 

This course teaches students how laws and regulations pertaining to wildlife and natural ecosystems are administered. Skills gained in this course include being able to use and interpret maps, conduct basic wildlife surveys and make ecological assessments.
